Frequently Asked Questions
HOW DOES THERMAGE WORK?
Thermage is a proven radio-frequency skin tightening treatment that transforms skin by addressing a wide range of complexion imperfections from age and environmental factors.
Thermage technology safely delivers up to two times your body's heat volume, allowing more tissue to reach a higher temperature during treatment, which results in an increased collagen production.
Thermage only treats targeted problem areas, therefore results are focused and effective. A process that by remodeling your collagen helps your skin get that smooth feel and youthful look you want.
WHEN CAN I EXPECT TO SEE RESULTS FROM MY THERMAGE TREATMENT?
The great thing about Thermage CP is that after a single treatment, measurable results will begin to appear gradually over the next two to six months. But it can last for up to one to two years depending on your skin condition and particular ageing process.
WHERE CAN THERMAGE BE USED?
Regarding your face, Thermage can treat sagging skin, loose jowls, lack of definition in the jaw line, sagging neck skin, wrinkles and fine lines, and lack of definition in the lips.
Around your eyes, Thermage can treat under eye bags, hooding, rough texture on the eyelids, wrinkles and fine lines, and other contributors to tired looking eyes.
And pretty much anywhere else on your body, Thermage can treat wrinkled, crepey, sagging or bulging skin on the tummy, arms and legs, as well as the appearance of cellulite.
ARE THERE ANY THERMAGE SIDE EFFECTS?
Overall, Thermage side effects are very rare, in addition to being very minor. A limited percentage of people can experience some temporary redness or slight swelling which may last a day or two. The only common complaint among patients is the momentary sensation of heat when the tool first touches the skin.
Most people can get back to their daily routine as soon as their thermage treatment is over with no side effects at all.
HOW SAFE IS THERMAGE?
Thermage radiofrequency treatment has been used as non-invasive wrinkle treatment for more than a decade in over 1 million treatments worldwide to date with an excellent safety record.
The only patients not usually suitable for Thermage are pregnant women. Breastfeeding women can go ahead with the process as no topical anaesthetic is used.
